El Terron lies at the mouth of the River Piedras and it has a small fishing port with facilities for leisure boats. The port is known for its seafood restaurants and there is a small aquarium. Boat trips can also be arranged. The nearby marshes are a protected area with a rich variety of flora, including sea rocket and sea lavender. Birds such as spoonbills, ospreys, cormorants and hoopoes may be seen.
