The Municipal Park is a delightful place to relax or have a picnic. There are ceramic tiled benches and it is close to the centre of the town. There are many palm trees and a children`s play area and a little train. In a corner of the park is a visitor centre where you can watch an audio-visual presentation about the city. The park was once ancient orchards that were bequeathed to the Virgin of the Assumption in the 17th Century. Three hundred years later it beame a park.
