Espalmador is the largest of a group of islets a few hundred metres off the northern tip of Formentera Island. The natural harbour on the island`s southern shore has a fine, white sand beach and a short distance away is a sulphurous mud pond. On the western side of the island is an 18th Century watchtower called Torre de sa Guardiola. During the summer season boats from La Savina call at Espalmador.
