El Pilar de la Mola, Formentera Island - Spain

Far de la Mola lighthouse stands at the far eastern tip of Formentera Island. It is a prominent, local landmark and nearby is a monument to Jules Verne. La Mola was his inspiration for the lighthouse in his novel Journey Around the Solar System. A cafe is nearby. The lighthouse is just over a mile from the little settlement of El Pilar de la Mola.
