Galera Archaeological Museum was opened in 2001 and it is housed in the old convent of Cristo Rey. It is dedicated to the area`s history from about 5000 years ago to the medieval period. The Necropolis of Tutagi was found here with a statue of the Goddess of Galera and the museum houses a reproduction. There are also artefacts from other eras including the Roman and Muslim periods.
