This theatre was built in 1920 and it has an auditorium in a horseshoe shape, resembling theatres of Italy. The architect was Alfonso Garin of Valencia and he was influenced by the Modernista style. By the 1990s it had become a cinema and it came into the hands of the Town Hall. The building was refurbished resulting in the stage being enlarged and a new floor built. Today the theatre is a venue for concerts and dance as well as theatre and cinema.
