Hecho is an attractive village with huge stone houses that were built after the original settlement was burnt during the Napolenic Wars. Hecho, also known as Echo, was the seat of the Nineth Century Aragon state of Conde Aznar Gaindez. Alfonso 1 was born here. On a hillside is an open-air gallery of sculpture left from an annual arts festival that was held here in the late 20th Century. The village is a good starting point for walks.
