Punta Arabi is known for its hippy market which takes place at the resort outside Es Cana every Wednesday. The market began in the late 1960s to sell local arts and crafts as well as goods brought back by hippies who travelled to India for the winter. Today there are hundreds of stalls selling jewellery, clothing, paintings, pottery, bags, belts and souvenirs of Ibiza. Coach trips run regularly to the market.
