Huescar is an attractive town beside the River Babatas near the Encantada Mountains. It has several historic houses. The House of the Penalvas is a stately home built in the Modernista style. Clearly, Antoni Gaudi has influenced the building`s design. There are ornate leaf like decorations. Inside, on the first floor is a large hall, oratory and sacristy whilst below are domestic rooms, including the kitchen and wine cellars.
