Huelva Cathedral was once part of a monastery and dates from the 17th Century. Much of the city of Huelva was destroyed by earthquakes in the mid 18th Century and almost all of the cathedral has been rebuilt. The exterior has a pink facade and early 20th Century bell towers. Inside is a fine sculpture of the Virgen de la Cinta, the city`s patron saint, by Martinez Montanes. Other highlights include an 18th Century altarpiece and an oil painting of San Lorenzo.
