In the centre of Elche`s renowned palm groves is the Huerto del Cura, a beautiful, artistic garden with one thousand palm trees and other Mediterranean and tropical plants. The palm trees collection contains varities from all over the world. One known as the the Imperial Palm Tree forks into seven. Pathways weaving through this atmospheric place lead to ponds, sculptures and a garden house. An intriguing cacti collection with many species is also in this garden, near a pond.
