Built on the foundation of a Roman temple and an Islamic mosque, Huesca Cathedral has a 13th Century Gothic ornate facade with a carved wooden overhang. The main portal is richly carved and there is a small rose window with statues. Inside, above the nave is star vaulting with golden bosses. The outstanding feature is the 16th Century alabaster altarpiece by Damien Forment with scenes from the Crucifixion in high relief.
