La Pared is a small town at the northern edge of the Jandia Peninsula. To the north, the Playa de la Pared is a beach of black sand whilst to the south is a golden sand beach. There is a large area of sand dunes. In pre-Hispanic times there was a wall here that divided two Guanche kingdoms but it no longer exists. La Pared is also a starting point for walks through volcanic formations.
