Firgas is known for its natural spring water and in the little town is a one hundred foot long fountain with flowerbeds and benches covered in azulejos tiles. On the walls behind them are the crests of Gran Canaria municipalities. On the ground of Paseo Canaria are large maps of all the Canary Islands. Firgas is an agricultural town and it is worth seeking out the restored 16th Century watermill.
