Pau Casals was one of the greatest cellists of the 20th Century and he performed in many parts of the world. He was also a conductor and a composer. The villa was built as a summer house for him but because of the Spanish Civil War he went into exile and died in 1973 in Puerto Rico. The musum is dedicated to preserving Pau Casal`s work and visitors can see the Music Room, Sculpture Gallery and garden. Temporary exhibitions are also held here.
