The Pedro Munoz Seca Foundation houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the comedian writer known for his many plays. Born in El Puerto de Santa Maria in 1879 he studied at San Luis Gonzaga`s Jesuit School then went to Seville and Madrid. He wrote over three hundred plays of which the majority were comedies. His work includes `Anaceleto gets Divorced` and `The Ray`. His plays had a peculiar kind of humour said to be the forerunner of the absurd variety in the post-war period.
