Placa de la Constitucio is the main square in Sant Francesc, the capital of Formentera Island. This attractive square with its olive and palm trees is the site of the island`s most important buildings. On one side is the early 18th Century fortified church and adjoining it is an old government building, whilst on the opposite side of the square stands the new, two storey centre of island government, draped with flags.
