The Provincial Museum is located in the old university building that incorporated the former royal palace. It includes the Bell`s chamber where King Ramiro 11 is said to have decapitated fifteen rebellious nobles. The event is known as the Campana de Huesca. Inside the museum are many archaeological items, some prehistoric, and paintings, including works by Goya and other 17th and 18th Century artists. There are also 16th Century works by Maestro de Sigena.
