The Puerto de Tierra Park is a small garden in an area which was once part of the harbour destroyed by the volcanic eruption of 1706. Until then, the town`s harbour had been the most important port on the island. A prominent feature is the arch Puerta de Tierra, which was the entrance to the port. It has been dug out of the lava and re-erected in the square. An old wine press is on display nearby.
