The Sacromente Interpretation Centre is in the mysterious Sacromento gypsy quarter of Granada. The gypsies are said to have first come to Granada to work as metal craftsmen for the Catholic Monarch`s army. At the centre, the caves where they lived have been recreated and you can see how the people worked at the traditional crafts of metal work, pottery, basket making and weaving. There is an ecology route, geological route, botanical and vegetable gardens and a scale model of the valley.
