The Sierra de Castril Natural Park is a spectacular area of mountains with valleys and caves. There are caves with stalactite and stalagmite formations and the Cave of Don Fernando is the longest in the province of Granada. This is a good area for wildlfe with many kinds of butterflies and birds of prey. Birds to look out for include the griffin vulture and the peregrine falcon.
