Temisas is an unspoilt village sitting on a mountainside in the eastern area of Gran Canaria. It is in a wild, beautiful location and nearby is an olive grove. The village produces olive oil. There are many attractive, traditional, rural buildings and the white stone houses have pink tiled roofs. The church with its belfry dates from the 18th Century and there is a watermill whilst in the hills above are caves that were inhabited by Guanche people.
