This Municipal Museum has a Fine Arts section with paintings by local artists such as Francisco Lameyer who lived in the 19th Century. One of his best known works is `Looting and Burning of Rome`. Other artists represented include Euligio Varela and Enrique Ochoa known for their Modernist work. There are also engravings by Antonio Ribera and a collection of religious paintings and sculptures. The musum has an archaeology section with prehistoric, Roman and Visigothic finds as well as artefacts from the Middle Ages.
