The small village of El Pilar de la Mola is on a promontory near the eastern tip of Formentera Island. On Wednesdays and Sundays during the summer months an arts and crafts market is held in the central square. Local cheese is also on sale. Nearby is the 18th Century village church with its belfry. On the outskirts of the village are ancient windmills.
