Las Playas is a peaceful fishing village with beautiful sea views and a stony beach. There are bars and restaurants offering fresh sea food. A few miles north is a headland with one thousand feet high cliffs topped by a lighthouse that looks similar to a fort. It was built in the mid 20th Century. From here are great views across the island and of the Atlantic.
