Agulo is a picturesque 17th Century village situated high above the sea and below cliffs. Nearby are banana plantations. The early 20th Century Church of San Marcus was built in the Moorish style and has four white domes. The 20th Century artist Jose Aguiar lived in Agulo as a child. From the village, a road leads to the viewpoint Mirador de Abrante where views extend to Mount Teide on Tenrife Island.
