The Beach of Los Cristianos is a sandy beach backed by a promenade with bars and restaurants. The popular resort has another beach, Playa de las Vistas, west of the port. Las Cristianos was once a fishing village and ferry boats depart for La Gomera and El Hierra from the harbour. There are also boat trips offering whale and dolphin watching.
