Bossost is a village in the beautiful Vall d` Aran valley known for its mountains, forests and flower filled fields. The village sits on the banks of the River Garona and it has a fine Romanesque 12th Century church, the Iglesia de la Purificacio de Maria. There are three naves with barrel vaulting and the three aspes have Lombard decorations. The doorway has biblical carving in its tympanum.
