The Castillo de Coyanza is a partially restored 15th Century castle with a tower of homage and walls with round turrets. It was built in the 15th Century by Juan de Acuna and his wife Teresa Enriquez. There was an earlier fortified settlement here in the 12th Century and the present fortress is on the site of the old village. Visits are allowed to the castle and it has free access.
