The Museo de Ceramica is housed in the Casa de Tafuriaste, a restored 17th Century house. Inside is a fine exhibition of about 1,000 antique ceramics from the Canary Islands and mainland Spain. There is a pottery workshop on the ground floor and visitors can watch how pottery is made. Old designs created by the Guanches, the ancient inhabitants of the island, are still popular today.
