The origin of the Collegiate of San Isidoro goes back to the 11th Century when the remains of Isidoro were brought from Seville, which was ruled by the Moors at that time. The church was built into the Roman walls and the pantheon is of that period. Dating from the 12th Century, the present church has since been modified and displays a mixture of styles. On the south portal are Romanesque sculptures whilst the balustrade is Renaissance.
