The El Palacio is a restored castle that was built in the 14th Century by Juan Raminez de Guzman who was the Mayor of Leon. The castle has a square shape with turrets and a moat surrounds it. There are coats of arms above the gate that were sculpted by Pedro de Guzman. The castle has an interesting history and in the early 16th Century there was an order for it to be destroyed. The wife of Ramino Numez Guzman resisted the royal troops and saved the castle. The building now holds the Museo del Botigo.
