Jimena De La Frontera is a pretty, white village topped with the remains of a Moorish castle which was built on the site of a Roman citadel. The ruins consist mainly of a keep and a Moorish three arched gateway and from the site are wonderful views over the valley. These extend as far as the Rock of Gibraltar. It is also a good spot for a picnic.
