Lluchmajor is a pleasant, country town in the south of Mallorca. A battle took place here in 1349 when Pedro 1V of Aragon killed Jaume 111. Around the town are many almond and apricot groves and their produce can be bought in the market that takes place in the square on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The town is also known for its shoemaking industry and on a walk around the town you are likely to spot the statue dedicated to the town`s cobblers.
