The Catedral de Santa Maria Redonda started as a late Gothic church. During the 18th Century the building was enlarged and the impresssive twin Churrigueresque towers were added. There is an inscription referring to the Nationalist rising on the facade. Inside you can see splendid vaulting and an elaborate gilt retablo. The square near the cathedral is a popular meeting place and nearby are cafes and bars with outdoor tables.
