Luanco is a quiet fishing village with an interesting history that goes back to medieval times. It has several fine mansions which date from the 18th century as well as more recent Modernist buildings. Do not miss the fishing harbour and the promenade along which are several bars. Luanco is the main place on the Asturias coast for tuna fishing which is celebrated by various events througout the year. Nearby are several fine beaches.
