The Monasterio de San Millan de Suso was built near the cave where the hermit San Millan lived in the sixth Century. The present atmospheric building dates from the 10th Century and it is of pink sandstone. Much of its Mozarabic features remain including the arches and chapels. The saint was buried in one of the chapels but his remains were moved by Sancho the Great and they are now in the Yuso Monastery.
