The Municipal Archaeology Museum is an attractive museum, well laid out in an 18th Century building. The rooms are in chronological order, starting with prehistory and including Palaeolithic tools as well as Neolithic pottery. One of the most interesting exhibits is a 7th Century BC Greek helmet found in the River Guadalete. There are several rooms dedicated to the Roman period and a room with Visigothic ceramics . Other displays contain Moorish and Medieval artefacts.
