O Cebreiro is an unusual, atmospheric village on the road to Santiago. It has several round, thatched stone huts that originated in Celtic Galacia. Some of them house the museum. In the nearby nineth Century church a miracle is said to have occurred in AD 1300. During mass, the wine changed into blood and the bread became flesh. Many pilgrims come to the villsge during the summer months.
