Oiasso was founded by the Romans in the place that is now known as Irun. It is on the banks of the River Bidasoa. This museum explains the Roman period in this part of Spain, and how the Romans exploited the area by mining and fishing. In one of the three halls dedicated to the Romans are displays of Roman objects found near the river such as pottery, jewels, beads, fishhooks and needles.
