La Herradura is a small, seaside resort with a sheltered, horseshoe shaped bay. There is a pebble beach and on the seafront are several restaurants and bars. The resort is very popular during the summer months for many different kinds of watersports. Further along the coast, in the direction of Nerja, are spectacular cliffs offering superb views and small, secluded. rocky coves with sandy beaches.
