The Plaza de Santa Ana is an attractive, historic square with benches and bronze statues of dogs symbolizing the legendary dogs of the town`s crest. The square was laid out in the 16th Century and one of the oldest buildings is the Renaissance Regent`s House which houses the Supreme Court. The Neoclassical City Hall dates from 1842, whilst the 17th Century Bishop`s Palace was rebuilt after being attacked by the Dutch. Open air concerts sometimes take place in the square.
