The Pozo de Colon is the well from where Christopher Columbus`s men took their water supplies for their voyage to the New World. An inscription reads -`With this water America was baptised`. The well stands in the courtyard of the former Custom House. It is now the town`s tourist office. In the building is also an exhibition about Columbus`s voyages, including scale models of his ships.
