The Provincial Museum of the Sea derives its origins from the schoolmaster Don Francis Rivera Casas who spent much of his life collecting items related to the sea. He had a great love of the sea and in the museum you can see a large variety of objects related to the life of sailors, sea life and fishing techniques. There are also models of ships, maps and navigationl instruments.
