The Roman Baths in Lugo were built on the site of a natural, hot spring beside the River Mino. They were built in 15BC soon after the city was founded and the remains can be seen inside the modern spa. The waters contain sulphur, sodium and carbon and are said to have healing powers. From a walkway you can see the Roman changing rooms with the alcoves used by the Romans to hold their clothes.
