The Valle de San Emiliano is a beautiful green valley surrounded by limestone escarpments and mountains. There are beech woods, oak trees and juniper woods. The area is home to wild boar, chamois, roe deer and otter as well as many birds of prey. There are also glacial lakes and dramatic gorges. It is a good place for walking, climbing, mountaineering, cycling and fishing as well as skiing.
