The Parque San Telmo is a shady square with benches and tall palms. There is a charming Modernist kiosk, dating from the 1920s, with ceramic tiles. Nearby is the small Ermita de San Telmo which has a little balcony and inside is an artesonado ceiling and Baroque retable. On the west side of the square is the Neo-classical Gobierno Militar, the headquarters of the Spanish Army in the Canary Islands.
