Segura de la Sierra is an ancient village that was originally founded by the Phoenicians. Later, it was held by the Muslims until taken by the Christians in 1214. As well as a Moorish castle, there are baths, the Bano Moro, which were built in the mid 12th Century for the ruler Ibn ben Hamusk. The baths have horseshoe arches and barrel vaults with skylights.
