Vallehermoso

The small, picturesque town of Vallehermoso is situated in a beautiful valley with palm trees, orange groves, vines and banana plantations. It has a fine church designed by Antonio Pintor and a park with unusual sculptures. North of the town, the rocky Playa de Vallehermoso is known for its windsurfing. One mile east is the Roque Cano, a 650 metre high fang-like volcanic rock. Above the town is the pretty reservoir Embalse de la Encantadora. Vallehermosa is a good centre for walking tours.
