The Arab Baths are all that remain from the time when the Muslims ruled the island. The bathhouse was built in the 10th Century and its surviving part consists of a horseshoe arched chamber supported by columns. Above is a dome pierced by skylights. This was a tepid room and originally there would also have been a hot room and a cold room. Outside is a lovely courtyard and garden with cacti,and palm and orange trees.
